Hacker News was used during the initial development phase of the Observatory as an exploratory cross-reference source for technical infrastructure discussion and operational friction.
Its exploratory role was considered complete. Ingestion was discontinued on 2026-08-08 and the associated locally retained source data was deleted. Hacker News is not part of the current Observatory analysis, retrieval system or language-model context.
