Why zenodo?
Since 2026-08-15, Zenodo is the primary literature source for ComputeCosts Observatory research.
Zenodo combines openly accessible research outputs with persistent DOI-based identifiers, versioned records and a well-documented API suitable for controlled, reproducible acquisition.
Its repository model includes peer-reviewed publications as well as preprints, technical reports, datasets, software and other research outputs. ComputeCosts considers this breadth an advantage: evidential relevance is assessed directly rather than inferred from publication venue or peer-review status.
ComputeCosts also uses Zenodo as the publication and archival platform for its own Observatory reports.
Zenodo does not replace the other Observatory sources. arXiv, GitHub and Wikipedia remain actively ingested as complementary preprint, implementation and attention signals.
